UK Consultation - Devolution
The UK Policy Forum is seeking views on how we can make devolution work better for the people of Britain.
In light of the ongoing measures to combat the Covid-19 virus, the SEC officers have agreed to some initial changes to the SPF process. Obviously, these will need to be reviewed as the legislation and guidance develop.
The second stage will be completed virtually. The final stage documents will be published in June with a closing date for amendments extended to 1 September. We will also introduce some flexibility into the final stage process so that external submissions can be considered, including those unable to respond to second stage because of the crisis.
Revitalise our High Streets
This is our cross-cutting consultation paper on the measures needed to revitalise our high streets and town centres. Comments would be welcome by 12 May 2020.
Climate Change Action
Our cross-cutting consultation paper on the action needed to deliver on Scotland's climate change targets has been published. Comments would be welcomed by 1 May 2020. There is a Zoom event on this paper on 14 May 2020 to discuss this. If you wish to join the call contact us at the email below.
Real Change: Scottish Labour Manifesto 2019
The Scottish Labour manifesto for the UK General Election reflects the massive investment that a UK Labour Government would bring to Scotland. It sets out how Scottish Labour would use those new resources to invest and reform Scotland's public services and economy.
The Scottish Labour Housing Commission launched its report in Parliament on 8 October. It sets out a radical set of solutions to tackle the housing emergency.
Our resources page includes all you need to hold an engagement event. Including the consultation papers, toolkit and a simple introductory activity for CLP and union meetings.
The SPF has published an Engagement Toolkit to assist CLPs and affiliates in organising local events. You can download a copy here.
The First Stage consultation started at Scottish Labour’s Annual Conference in Dundee on 8-10 March 2019 and concluded in August 2019.
Second Stage consultation concluded on 1 April 2020. You can access the consultation papers on our 'Get Involved' page.
The final stage paper is currently being considered by the SPF. This is normally the internal stage. However, due to the pandemic we will consider submissions based on the Second Stage papers throughout the summer period.
