Welcome to the Scottish Policy Forum
Welcome to Scottish Labour's online home of policy development and ideas, where you can take part in our open and democratic policy-making process. For Scottish Labour Party members, supporters and policy stakeholders, we want to hear your ideas on how we should tackle the challenges our country faces, to help make Scotland a more equal and prosperous country. Real change - for the many, not the few.
News and Events
In light of the ongoing measures to combat the Covid-19 virus, the SEC officers have agreed to some initial changes to the SPF process. Obviously, these will need to be reviewed as the legislation and guidance develop.
The second stage will be completed virtually. The final stage documents will be published in June with a closing date for amendments extended to 1 September. We will also introduce some flexibility into the final stage process so that external submissions can be considered, including those unable to respond to second stage because of the crisis.

Second Stage Consultation
The second stage consultation was due to start at the end of November 2019. However, due to the UK General election it has been postponed until the New Year.

The four policy commissions will be meeting in mid-September to consider the submissions and evidence collated during the First Stage consultation. The full Scottish Policy Forum will meet on 19 October in Stirling to consider reports from the commissions and agree a Second Stage paper.
